Wicked Witch of the East

Imagine a really grumpy lady who lived in the land of Oz. She was called the Wicked Witch of the East! She wasn't very nice at all.

She ruled over a part of Oz called Munchkin Country. The little Munchkins had to work for her all day and all night. She was a bit like a bossy bully who made everyone do her chores.

She had special shoes that were super powerful, but we'll talk more about those later!

This witch had a very surprising end! A girl named Dorothy was traveling in Oz with her little dog, Toto. Dorothy's house, which had been picked up by a tornado, landed right on top of the Wicked Witch! SPLAT! The witch was so squished that she turned into dust. It was a very strange way to disappear. All that was left of her were her magical shoes, which Dorothy then got to keep.

The most special thing about the Wicked Witch of the East was her magical shoes. In the book, they were silver, but in the famous movie, they were sparkly ruby slippers! These shoes had lots of secret powers. The witch loved them more than anything. She was a mean ruler, and the Munchkins were very happy when she was gone. Her story is important because it starts Dorothy's big adventure in Oz.

The Wicked Witch of the East was known for her amazing shoes. They weren't just any shoes; they were magical! These shoes could do all sorts of mysterious things.

The witch guarded them very carefully. When her house landed on her, the magical shoes were left behind. Dorothy got to wear them, and they helped her on her journey to find the Wizard.
