United States Department of Defense

The Department of Defense has a super-secret headquarters called the Pentagon. It's shaped like a star with five sides! It's so big, it would take a long time to walk around it. This is where the leaders of America's brave soldiers, sailors, and pilots make important plans to keep everyone safe.

The Department of Defense is in charge of some amazing groups! There's the Army, who march on land; the Navy, who sail the seas; the Air Force, who fly high in the sky; and the Space Force, who explore outer space! They all work together like a super-powered team to protect the United States.

These brave people are like superheroes for the whole country. Their main job is to make sure no one tries to start a fight and to protect America. They have lots of smart people who figure out the best ways to stay safe, even using cool technology!
