Traffic: The Big Move!

Imagine a busy street! That's traffic! It's when lots of cars, trucks, buses, and even people on bikes or walking are all moving together. Sometimes it's like a slow-moving river, and other times it's a speedy race. Traffic happens on roads, highways, and even sidewalks. It's how we get from one place to another, like going to school or visiting grandma!

To make sure everyone stays safe, there are special rules for traffic. Think of them like game rules! We have traffic lights that tell us when to stop (red!), go (green!), or be careful (yellow!). Signs tell us the speed limit, which is how fast we can go, and where we can turn. These rules help prevent bumps and crashes, so everyone can get where they need to be without any boo-boos.

Sometimes, traffic can get super slow, like a snail on a hot day! This happens when there are too many cars, or maybe there's a road being fixed. When traffic gets really, really stuck, it's called a 'gridlock,' and nobody can move! It's like everyone is playing musical chairs, but the music never stops, and there aren't enough chairs!
