Thunnus: The Super Speedy Tuna!

Thunnus is a special group of fish called tunas! They are like the VIPs of the tuna world, known as the 'true tunas'. Imagine a big family where some members are super famous – that's Thunnus! They belong to a bigger fish family called Scombridae, which also includes their speedy cousins, the mackerels. There are eight different kinds of Thunnus tunas, and they are all incredible swimmers.

Thunnus tunas have a cool trick to hide from other fish. Their backs are a shiny, metallic blue, like a superhero's cape! But their bellies are a shimmering silver-white. This helps them blend in.
