Pinocchio came to life! He was a mischievous puppet who loved to play and get into trouble. He had a nose that grew longer every time he told a lie!

Can you imagine a nose as long as a slide on the playground? Pinocchio’s story is all about his exciting, sometimes scary, adventures as he tries to become a real boy.

This amazing story wasn't always a book! It was first shared in little pieces, like a comic strip, in a newspaper for kids in Italy. People loved it so much that they asked for more! The writer, Carlo Collodi, kept writing more adventures. Finally, all the stories were put together into one big book in 1883. It’s like when your favorite TV show episodes are put on a DVD!

Pinocchio is famous all over the world! His story has been translated into over 260 languages, which is more than you can count on your fingers and toes! People love Pinocchio because he teaches us important lessons about being honest and kind. Even the idea of a nose growing when you lie comes from this story. It's a story that makes you think and feel!

Pinocchio really, really wanted to be a real boy, just like you! To do that, he had to learn to be good. He met lots of different characters, some helpful and some not so helpful. He faced many temptations, like wanting to play all day instead of going to school. Through all his adventures, he learned that being honest and brave is the best way to make your dreams come true.
