This amazing story wasn't always a book! It was first shared in little pieces, like a comic strip, in a newspaper for kids in Italy. People loved it so much that they asked for more! The writer, Carlo Collodi, kept writing more adventures. Finally, all the stories were put together into one big book in 1883. It’s like when your favorite TV show episodes are put on a DVD!
