Terrorism Confinement Center

There's a super big place in a country called El Salvador called the Terrorism Confinement Center. It's like a really, really big house for grown-ups who are accused of doing bad things. It's so big, it can hold as many people as a whole town!

This special building was made to be very safe and strong, like a fortress. It's a place where people are kept apart from others to help keep everyone safe.

This giant building wasn't always there. It was built very recently, in late 2022. Then, at the beginning of 2023, it started welcoming its first guests. The government decided to build it because they wanted to make sure everyone in the country was safe from people who might cause trouble. It's like when you clean up your toys to make sure no one trips over them!

This place is HUGE! It can hold up to 40,000 people. That's more people than can fit in a giant stadium for a concert! It's actually the biggest of its kind in a whole part of the world called Latin America. It's so big, it's one of the largest prisons in the entire world. Wow! That's a lot of people all in one place.

This building is a place where people are kept, but it's not a place for fun or learning new things. The people who work there don't try to teach the guests new skills. Most of the people who go in, stay in. It's a place focused on keeping people in one spot, not helping them get better. It's a very serious place.
