Tears for Fears

Imagine two friends, Roland and Curt, who loved making music so much they started a band called Tears for Fears! They formed their band way back in 1981 in a town called Bath in England. They were part of a cool music scene in the 1980s, making catchy songs that lots of people loved to dance to. Their music was so popular it even traveled all the way to America!

Their first big album, 'The Hurting', was a number one hit in the UK! That means it was the most popular album there. They also had super popular songs like 'Mad World' and 'Change' that everyone wanted to hear.

Then came their next album, 'Songs from the Big Chair', which was a HUGE hit in America, reaching number one too! It had two songs, 'Shout' and 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World', that became number one hits in the USA!

Sometimes, even best friends in bands have disagreements. Roland and Curt had a big argument after touring their album 'The Seeds of Love'. Roland kept the band name for a while and made more music. But guess what? They became friends again! They got back together and made new music, showing that even after a breakup, good things can happen. They even won an award for all their amazing songs!

Tears for Fears made music that made people feel things. Their songs are about big ideas, like how everyone wants things, or how the world works. Even though they started making music a long, long time ago, their songs are still played today! People love listening to them because the music is catchy and the words make you think. They are like music superheroes who made songs that last forever!
