When People Want a Change!

Sometimes, people in a country aren't happy with how things are run. In Sudan, starting in 2018, lots of people went out into the streets to show they wanted something different. They wanted their leaders to listen to them and make things better. It was like a big, country-wide conversation happening outside!

A Big Shake-Up!

These protests were so strong that they made a big change happen! The person who had been in charge for a very long time, President Omar al-Bashir, was asked to step down. This was a huge moment, like a giant turning over a new leaf. It showed that when people stand together, they can make a difference.

Working Together for a New Start

After the old leader left, new people had to figure out how to run the country. It was like a team of grown-ups trying to build something new. They made plans to have leaders chosen by the people and to make sure everyone had a say. This new plan was supposed to last for about three years.

A New Leader for Everyone

Eventually, a new leader, a Prime Minister named Abdalla Hamdok, was chosen. He promised to do the things the people wanted when they protested. They also got a new head judge who was a woman, which was a big step! It was all about making Sudan a place where everyone's voice could be heard.
