Meet the Speedy Racers!

Imagine building your very own race car, but super tiny! That's STEM Racing! Teams of friends work together to design and make small cars that zoom down a track. These cars are powered by special air cartridges, like a tiny rocket. They have to be just right to go fast and win the race. It's like a science project that's also a super fun game!

How These Cars Get Their Zoom!

These little cars don't have engines like real race cars. Instead, they use a CO2 cartridge, which is like a tiny can of fizzy air. When the cartridge is used, the air shoots out really fast, pushing the car forward! The cars are also attached to a wire so they stay on the track. A computer measures exactly how long it takes for the car to reach the finish line, so every second counts!

The Big Race Day!

STEM Racing happens all over the world! Teams from different countries can even race their cars in the World Finals. The race tracks are 20 meters long, which is about as long as two school buses parked end to end. Two cars can race at the same time on different lanes. The fastest car wins, and the winning team gets a special trophy!

Why Building Cars is Cool!

STEM Racing is a way to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM, by having fun. You get to be creative and solve problems, just like real engineers who build amazing things. It helps kids learn how to work in a team and build cool stuff that actually moves. Plus, who doesn't love racing?
