Where is St George?

Imagine Bristol is a big, yummy cookie! St George is a special crumb on the very edge of the cookie, way out on the east side. It's like the last stop before you leave the cookie altogether! It used to be part of a bigger place called Gloucestershire, but now it's all part of Bristol.

Digging for Treasures!

Long, long ago, St George was a busy place for digging! People dug deep into the ground to find shiny coal and special clay called fireclay. It was like a treasure hunt, but with heavy tools! The last of these underground adventures finished in 1904, which is a super long time ago.

A Towering Friend!

Look up, up, up! In St George, there's a tall landmark called Troopers Hill chimney. It's like a giant pointing to the sky! This chimney is now part of a special nature spot called a Local Nature Reserve. It's a place where plants and animals can live happily, even with the old chimney watching over them.

Watery Wonders!

There's a pretty fountain in St George called the St George Fountain. It's like a fancy water decoration from a long time ago, called Victorian times. This fountain sits right where the main road splits into two paths, like a fork in the road, leading to different adventures!
