Simon Yates (cyclist)

Imagine riding a bike so fast it feels like you're flying! That's what Simon Yates does. He's a professional cyclist, which means he rides bikes for a living and competes in super exciting races all over the world.

He's won lots of shiny medals and trophies, showing everyone how amazing he is on two wheels. He even has a twin brother, Adam, who is also a champion cyclist! They're like a super-powered cycling team.

Simon started racing when he was quite young, getting better and better with every pedal stroke. He even won a gold medal at the World Championships when he was just 21 years old! That's like winning the biggest prize in a school sports day, but for the whole world.

He also had a little break from racing but came back even stronger, winning important races like the Tour de France for young riders and big races called the Vuelta a España and the Giro d'Italia.

Simon is known for his incredible speed and his ability to win tough races. He's won more than thirty races in his career, which is a LOT! He's won eleven stages in the biggest bike races, which are like winning individual races within a giant competition.

He's won six times in the Giro d'Italia, three times in the Tour de France, and two times in the Vuelta a España. That's more wins than you have fingers and toes!
