Sharafkhan Bidlisi

Imagine a person who was not only a leader but also a super-smart writer and artist! That was Sharafkhan Bidlisi. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1543. He was a Kurdish Emir, which means he was like a prince or a leader of a special place called Bitlis. He loved learning and was very good at many things, like history, math, and even planning battles!

Sharafkhan Bidlisi didn't grow up in Bitlis. He was born in a village in Iran, far away from his future home. When he was young, his family sent him to the king's palace, called the Safavid court. There, he got a fantastic education, like going to the best school ever! He learned so much that he became one of the most important writers of his time.

Sharafkhan Bidlisi wrote a very special book called the Sharafnama. He finished it in 1597, which is over 400 years ago! This book is like a treasure chest filled with stories about the history of the Kurdish people. It tells us what life was like for them in the 1500s and about their important families. It's so good that people still read it today to learn about Kurdish history.

Sharafkhan Bidlisi is remembered because he wrote down so much important history. His book, the Sharafnama, helps us understand the Kurdish people and their culture.
