Sales is like a big game of trading! When someone has something they want to give away, like a yummy cookie or a fun toy, and someone else wants it, they can make a deal. The person with the cookie might give it to you, and you might give them a shiny coin. This is called a sale! It happens all the time, everywhere you look, from the toy store to the grocery shop.

A super long time ago, people didn't even use money! They would trade things directly. If you had extra apples, you could trade them for someone's extra fish. This was called bartering. Over many, many years, people invented coins and then paper money to make trading easier. Now, we have giant stores and online shops where you can buy almost anything you can imagine!

Sales help everyone get the things they need and want. If a baker makes delicious bread, sales help them sell it so they can buy flour and other ingredients to make more. If you need new shoes, sales let you buy them! Businesses need sales to keep running and to make new and exciting things for us to enjoy. It's like a big circle where everyone shares and gets what they need.

Usually, there's a seller and a buyer. The seller shows you what they have, like a bright red ball. They tell you how much it costs, maybe 5 shiny coins.

If you think the ball is worth 5 coins and you have them, you agree to buy it. You give the coins to the seller, and they give you the ball. Ta-da!
