Roman Polanski is a super famous movie maker from Poland and France. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1933! Imagine a time before video games and smartphones.

He learned to make movies that people all over the world loved. He's won lots of shiny awards for his work, like a special Oscar! He's directed movies that are spooky, exciting, and sometimes even sad, making people feel all sorts of emotions.
