Key Facts
Welcome to a Magical Forest!
Imagine a secret place in Scotland called Puck's Glen! It's a deep, rocky ditch made by a rushing stream called the Eas Mòr, which means 'big waterfall' in a special language. This glen is like a hidden playground for nature, with a fun path that winds all around it.
It's part of a bigger park called Argyll Forest Park, which is inside an even bigger park called Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It's a truly enchanting spot!
Where the Water Plays!
The Eas Mòr stream is the star of Puck's Glen! It doesn't just flow; it tumbles and splashes down lots of little waterfalls and fast-moving bits called rapids. It's like a water slide made by nature!
This stream eventually joins a bigger river called the River Eachaig. You can find the entrance to Puck's Glen not too far from a place called Dunoon, on a road that goes towards a beautiful lake called Loch Eck. There's even a car park to help you start your adventure!
A Special Place for Everyone
Puck's Glen is super special because it's one of Scotland's most magical forests. People love to walk along the trail next to the rocky gorge and listen to the water. It's a place where you can feel really close to nature.
Sometimes, like in 2020, the glen had to close for a little while because of some tree sickness and to make sure the paths were safe. But it's usually open for everyone to explore and enjoy its beauty!
Adventures in the Glen
Getting to Puck's Glen is part of the fun! You can park your car nearby and follow a track that leads you right to the bottom of the glen path. Or, if you're feeling extra adventurous, there are other forest paths that can take you to the very top of the glen!
From the top, you can look down and see how the stream has carved its way through the rocks over many, many years. It’s a fantastic place for a walk and to see amazing nature.
