A remarkable adaptation is nymph transport (phoresy), where later nymphal instars attach themselves to larger, mobile arthropods, facilitating dispersal to new habitats. Pseudoscorpions also possess specialized silk glands, usually located in the chelicerae, which they use to spin silk for various purposes, including constructing protective retreats, molting chambers, and egg sacs.
