Prime Minister of Poland

In Poland, the person in charge of the government is called the Prime Minister. Think of them like the captain of a big ship, guiding the country. They are the head of the cabinet, which is like a team of helpers, each in charge of different important jobs like schools or hospitals. The Prime Minister makes sure everyone works together to make Poland a great place to live!

It's not like picking a class president! The President of Poland chooses the Prime Minister. Then, the Prime Minister picks their team of helpers, called the Cabinet.

After that, they have to show everyone in the government, called the Sejm, their plan for what they want to do. If the Sejm likes the plan, they give a 'vote of confidence,' which means they agree and say 'Go for it!' It's a big responsibility!

Sometimes, the same person can be Prime Minister more than once! Donald Tusk is the current Prime Minister of Poland. He was also Prime Minister a long time ago, between 2007 and 2014. It's like being the star player on a sports team, then coming back to lead the team again years later. He leads the Civic Platform party, which is like a team with shared ideas.

The Prime Minister is super important because they are the head of the government. They make sure the country runs smoothly, just like your teacher makes sure your classroom runs smoothly. They have to think about all the big decisions that affect everyone in Poland, from making sure there are good jobs to keeping everyone safe.
