Finland's Awesome Land!

Finland is a cool country way up north in Europe. It's full of sparkling lakes, like a giant blue puzzle, and huge green forests where you might spot reindeer! The President is the head of this amazing place. Finland is a bit smaller than the state of Alabama in the USA. It gets very cold in winter with lots of snow, perfect for building snow forts!

Who's the Boss?

The President of Finland is like the captain of a ship, guiding the country. They are chosen by the people of Finland who vote for who they think will do the best job. The President has to be born in Finland, just like you have to be born in your country to be a citizen. They have important jobs, especially when it comes to talking to other countries and making sure Finland is safe.

Finland's Top Helper!

The President is the boss of Finland's army, navy, and air force – they are the Commander-in-Chief! This means they are in charge of keeping Finland safe. They also help decide what Finland should do when talking to other countries. It's a big responsibility, like being the captain of your school's sports team and making sure everyone plays fair and works together.

A Special Job for a Special Person

The President is like Finland's number one representative. They are the head of state, which means they are the main person everyone sees as the leader. They work with the government, which is like the country's team of helpers, to make sure everything runs smoothly. The President is chosen for a six-year term, which is longer than you're in school for one grade!
