Beijing's Big Job!

Imagine Beijing is like the principal's office for all of China! It's the capital city, where important decisions are made. Just like your school has a principal and teachers who help run things, Beijing has leaders who help run the whole country.

The mayor is like the head teacher, and there's also a special Party Secretary who is super important, almost like the principal's boss! They work together to make sure everything in China's capital is organized and safe.

Who's in Charge Here?

In Beijing, there are two main people in charge of making big decisions. One is the Mayor, who is like the captain of a ship, steering the city. But there's also a very powerful person called the Beijing Party Secretary.

This person is like the captain's advisor who has the final say on many things! This is because Beijing is the capital, so its leaders have a big say in what happens all over China. It's like the student council president and the school principal working together!

Super Important Leaders!

Some leaders of Beijing have been SO important, they were part of the country's top decision-making group, called the Politburo. It's like being on the most important team in the whole school! One leader, Peng Zhen, was even the very first Beijing Party Secretary.

Another leader, Liu Qi, was in charge of the amazing Beijing Olympics, where athletes from all over the world came to compete. He even got to speak at the opening and closing ceremonies!

Making Beijing Shine!

The leaders in Beijing have a very important job. They have to make sure the city is a great place to live and that it represents China well to the rest of the world. They plan big celebrations, like when China turned 50 or 60 years old, and make sure everything runs smoothly. It's like planning a huge birthday party for the whole country and making sure all the guests have a wonderful time!
