Planet of the Apes (2001 movie)

Imagine a spaceship zooming through space! Astronaut Leo Davidson is on a mission when his ship crashes. He wakes up on a strange planet. But this isn't just any planet – it's a world where apes are in charge! They walk, talk, and wear clothes, just like people. The humans here are like wild animals, and the apes are the smart ones. Leo has to figure out how to survive and get back home.

In the movie, Leo's spaceship travels faster than light. This makes time pass differently for him. When he arrives on the ape planet, hundreds of years have gone by on Earth! It's like a super-fast time machine. The apes on this planet evolved to be super smart over many, many years. They built cities and have their own rules, just like we do.

This movie is a remake of an older story. In this version, the apes are really in charge. There's a wise ape named Attar who is a leader. There are also some grumpy apes who don't like humans at all. Leo has to be very clever to escape them. A big WOW fact is that the special makeup for the apes took hours to put on each actor!

Leo meets some friendly humans who help him. He also meets some apes who are curious about him. He learns that the apes have a special place called 'Semos,' which is like a forbidden zone. Leo thinks he might find a way back to Earth there. It's a race against time and the ape leaders to see if he can escape this strange new world.
