Norah Fry: A Friend to All!

Imagine a kind person who loved helping others, especially children who needed a little extra support. That was Norah Fry! She lived a long time ago, from 1871 to 1960. Her family was famous for making delicious chocolate, but Norah was more interested in making people happy and helping them learn. She believed everyone deserved a chance to shine, no matter what!

Making a Big Difference!

Norah was a real champion for children with disabilities and those who found learning a bit tricky. She worked hard to make sure they had the best care and opportunities. She was like a superhero for these kids, fighting for their rights and making sure they felt loved and understood. Her kindness spread far and wide!

The First Lady Councillor!

Guess what? Norah Fry did something super amazing in 1918. She became the very first woman to be a councillor in a place called Somerset! This means she was chosen to help make important decisions for her community. It was a huge deal because, back then, not many women had jobs like that. Norah showed everyone that women could be strong leaders too!

A Legacy of Kindness

Even though Norah Fry is not with us anymore, her spirit of kindness and helping others lives on. She showed us that one person can truly change the world for the better. By caring for those who need it most and by being brave enough to lead, Norah Fry left a wonderful example for all of us to follow. She reminds us to always be good to each other!
