Who Was Mountain Chief?
Mountain Chief was a very important person from the Blackfoot Tribe. His Blackfoot name was Nínaiistáko, which means something like 'Big Brave'. He was born a long, long time ago, around 1848. He was known for being a strong warrior. He even had another name, Big Brave! Sometimes he used the name Frank Mountain Chief too. He lived a very long life, passing away in 1942.
