Tiny Land, Big Views!

Monaco is a super small country tucked away on the beautiful French Riviera, right next to the sparkly Mediterranean Sea. It's so tiny, you could probably walk across it in less time than it takes to eat your lunch! It's like a little jewel box of a country, surrounded by France on three sides and the sea on the other. The weather is usually warm and sunny, perfect for playing outside!

A Royal Family's Home

Monaco is ruled by a Prince, just like in fairy tales! The Grimaldi family has been in charge for a very, very long time, over 700 years! Prince Albert II is the current leader. Even though it's small, it's a real country with its own rules and its own special language, though many people also speak French. It's like having a special secret club with its own king!

Super Rich and Super Fun!

Monaco is famous for being a very wealthy place. It has a famous casino called the Monte Carlo Casino, where people go to play games. It's also known for amazing car races, like the Monaco Grand Prix, where super-fast cars zoom around the streets. Because it's so pretty and exciting, lots of rich people like to visit and live there.

Smallest in the World (Almost!)

Did you know Monaco is the second smallest country in the whole world? Only Vatican City is smaller! It's so small that its coastline, the part where the land meets the sea, is the shortest of any country that isn't completely surrounded by land. It's like having the shortest swimming pool lane ever!
