Manti Teʻo is a super talented football player who used to play in the big leagues called the NFL. Imagine a really strong player who could tackle anyone! He played for a famous college team called the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was so good that everyone knew his name. Now, he helps people understand football by talking about games on TV.

When Manti played football, he was like a superhero on the field! He was a linebacker, which means he was the boss of stopping the other team from scoring. He won lots of awards because he was one of the best players in the country. It’s like winning every single prize at the school fair! He was picked to play for a professional team, the San Diego Chargers, right after college.

One day, Manti learned a very important lesson about the internet. Someone pretended to be a girl named Lennay Kekua online and became Manti's friend, and then they even fell in love! But Lennay wasn't real. This is called 'catfishing,' where someone pretends to be someone they're not online. It was a very sad and surprising thing that happened to Manti.

Even though Manti doesn't play football anymore, he still loves the game! Since 2024, he's become a football expert on TV. He watches games and tells everyone what he thinks about the players and the plays. It's like being a sports commentator, sharing his knowledge and excitement with all the football fans out there.
