Liberation Day (Netherlands)

The Netherlands is a country in Europe, like a neighbor to Germany and Belgium. It's a pretty flat place, and some parts are even lower than the sea! It has a mild climate, meaning it's not too hot or too cold. Think of it like a big, green field with lots of canals, which are like little rivers people made.

Liberation Day happens on May 5th every year. It's a day to celebrate that the Netherlands became free after being occupied by bad guys called Nazis during a big war. On May 5th, 1945, the fighting stopped, and everyone could finally be free again! It's a very happy day for everyone.

Lots of brave soldiers from different countries helped the Netherlands become free. Soldiers from Canada, Britain, Poland, America, and even some Dutch soldiers fought together. They were like a super team working to make things right. It shows how important it is for people to help each other.
