Once upon a time, in England, there was a super-duper famous acting group called the King's Men. They were like the rock stars of their day! Before they were the King's Men, they were called the Lord Chamberlain's Men. But when a new king, King James I, took over, he loved their shows so much that he became their special boss, and they got a new name. This was a HUGE honor!

When King James I became their patron, it was a big deal! The King even gave them special jobs as 'Grooms of the Chamber.' To celebrate the King's big parade, each of the nine main actors got special red cloth. They got enough cloth to make four and a half yards of fancy red outfits! That's enough red cloth to cover a small car!
