Where the Hills Meet the River!

Kerrville is a super cool city tucked away in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It's like a cozy spot surrounded by gentle, green hills. The best part? A big, happy river called the Guadalupe River flows right through the middle of town! This river makes Kerrville a perfect place for fun outdoor adventures, with lots of parks right along its banks where you can play and splash.

A Town Built by Friends!

Long, long ago, a brave explorer named Joshua Brown came to this pretty spot. He wanted to start a camp to make shingles, which are like little wooden roofs. He had a friend named James Kerr, who was a major in a big fight called the Texas Revolution. Because of these friends, the town was named Kerrville! It’s a reminder of how people worked together to build new places.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Kerrville is famous for having tons of fun things to do! There are summer camps for kids, big ranches where people go hunting, and lots of places for RVs, which are like houses on wheels. They even have a special fair called the Texas' Official State Arts & Crafts Fair, where you can see amazing handmade things! Plus, there's a music party called the Kerrville Folk Festival. Wow!

Making Cool Stuff!

People in Kerrville are busy making and creating! One famous company there is James Avery Jewelry, where they make beautiful jewelry. There's also a place called Mooney Aviation Company that works with airplanes. And for art lovers, there's the Museum of Western Art, filled with paintings and sculptures of cowboys and the Wild West. It’s a place where creativity shines bright!
