Where Did Judo Come From?

He took ideas from older fighting styles and made Judo. He opened his first school, the Kodokan, in 1882. Now, people all over the world love to practice Judo, and it's even in the Olympics!

How Do You Play Judo?

You can also win by making them give up by using a special arm lock or chokehold (but only when you're very skilled and safe!). It's important to bow before and after each match to show respect.
Judo is all about balance, timing, and using your opponent's energy.
