Imagine a super-fast swimmer named Joseph Schooling! He was born a long, long time ago in 1995. Joseph loves swimming so much, he became a professional swimmer. He's really good at swimming fast using his arms and legs, especially in butterfly and freestyle strokes. He's like a fish in the water, gliding through the pool with amazing speed!

The Golden Splash!

Joseph Schooling has a HUGE achievement. In 2016, he won a gold medal at the Olympics for swimming the 100-meter butterfly race. This was super special because it was the very first Olympic gold medal ever won by Singapore! His winning time was so fast, it broke many records, like a superhero breaking a speed limit!

From School to the Olympics!

Before becoming a famous swimmer, Joseph went to school, just like you! He studied at Anglo-Chinese School and then went to a big university in Texas, USA. He was part of a top swimming team there. He first got to swim in the Olympics in 2012 after winning a big race in Southeast Asia.

A New Chapter Begins!

Now, Joseph Schooling is starting a new adventure. In 2024, he decided to stop being a competitive swimmer. But don't worry, he still loves swimming! He is now focusing on teaching other kids how to swim at his own swim school and doing other exciting business things. He's still a champion, just in a different way!
