Jonjo Shelvey

Imagine being so good at soccer that you play for a big team when you're still in school! That's Jonjo Shelvey! He's a footballer, which means he plays soccer for a living. He's a midfielder, which is like the engine of the team, running up and down the field, passing the ball, and trying to score goals. He started playing professionally when he was just a teenager, which is super impressive!

Jonjo started his soccer journey at a club called Charlton Athletic. Guess what? He became their youngest-ever player when he was only 16 years and 59 days old!

That's younger than most kids get their driver's permit! Then, he moved to a famous team called Liverpool. He even won a cup with them!

Later, he played for other big teams like Swansea City and Newcastle United, becoming a captain for Newcastle.

Not only did Jonjo play for his club teams, but he also got to wear the special England jersey! He played for England's younger teams, like the under-16s and under-19s, and even got to be the captain for the under-19s. Then, he got to play for the grown-up England team, which is like getting to play in the biggest game ever! It shows he's one of the best players in the country.
