Johanna Bassani

Imagine someone who loved the snow and the thrill of zooming down hills! That was Johanna Bassani. She was a special kind of athlete from Austria, a country known for its snowy mountains. Johanna was amazing at two sports: Nordic combined skiing and ski jumping. This means she was super strong and fast on skis, and she also knew how to leap through the air like a bird!

Johanna was born on April 25, 2002. She grew up in Austria, where skiing is like riding a bike for many people! She trained hard to become a fantastic skier. In Nordic combined, athletes ski fast downhill and then jump really far. In ski jumping, the goal is to fly as far as possible from a special ramp. Johanna was really good at both, showing off her bravery and skill.

Johanna was a rising star in the world of winter sports. She competed in ski jumping and Nordic combined, showing everyone how powerful and graceful she was. Sadly, her life was very short, and she passed away on May 5, 2020. Even though she was only with us for a little while, her passion for sports and her incredible talent made a big impression.
