He played for different teams as he got better, kind of like leveling up in a video game. He even played in the biggest baseball league of all, called Major League Baseball (MLB)! That's where the best players in the world play.

Pitchers like Jimmy are super important in baseball. They have to throw the ball with amazing speed and accuracy. It's like trying to hit a tiny target from far away! When Jimmy pitches, he's trying to make it really hard for the other team to hit the ball. He's like the first line of defense for his team, stopping the other team from scoring runs.
