Jérémy Mathieu

Imagine a super-fast soccer player who's really good at stopping the other team from scoring! That was Jérémy Mathieu. He played a special job on the field called a defender. Defenders are like the walls of a castle, protecting their team's goal. Jérémy was strong and quick, making him a great player for many years.

Jérémy started his soccer adventures in France, playing for teams like Sochaux and Toulouse. He played so many games, it's like going to school for seven whole years! Then, he moved to Spain to play for Valencia, which is a very famous team. He played there for five years, which is longer than you might be in elementary school!

The most exciting part of Jérémy's career was when he joined Barcelona, one of the most famous soccer clubs in the world! In his very first year, his team won something called 'the treble.' This means they won three super important championships all in the same year! It's like winning the championship in soccer, basketball, and baseball all at once!

Jérémy also got to wear the special blue jersey for his country, France! He played for the French national team for five years. He was even picked to play in a big tournament called Euro 2016, but sadly, he got a little hurt and couldn't play. But it was still a huge honor to be chosen!
