Key Facts
Meet the Super School!
The Instituto Politécnico Nacional, or IPN for short, is like a super-duper school in Mexico! It's so big, it has over 170,000 students, which is more kids than you'd find at a giant music festival! These students learn all sorts of cool things, from how to build robots to how to understand the stars. It's a place where bright minds come to learn and invent.
A School Born Long Ago!
This amazing school wasn't always here. It was started way back on January 1, 1936. That's older than your grandparents' grandparents! A very important leader named President Lázaro Cárdenas helped create it. He wanted a place where people could learn important skills to help Mexico grow and become even better.
Why IPN is So Cool!
IPN is super important because it's one of the best places in Mexico to learn about science and building things, like bridges or computers. It's like being the best player on a soccer team for science! The school has tons of different classes, almost 300 of them, so everyone can find something they love to learn about.
A City of Learning!
The main part of IPN is called Zacatenco, and it's HUGE! It's like having a whole town just for learning. It covers about 530 acres, which is bigger than 300 football fields! Imagine running around that much space just to go to class. Plus, IPN has buildings and places to learn in 22 different states across Mexico!
