Fun Fact
The border between India and Pakistan is one of the most guarded borders in the entire world!

Where Are They?

India and Pakistan are like two big countries sitting next to each other in a part of the world called South Asia. They share a long border, like a giant fence between their yards. Sometimes, this border is very busy, and sometimes it's quiet. They have different kinds of weather, from hot deserts to snowy mountains, just like you might have sunny days and snowy days where you live!

A Big Change Long Ago!

A super long time ago, before your parents or even your grandparents were born, India and Pakistan were one big country ruled by people from far away. Then, in 1947, they decided to become two separate countries. This was a really big change, and many people had to move to find their new homes. It was like everyone in your town suddenly had to pick a new school to go to!

Sharing and Not Sharing

Even though they are neighbors, India and Pakistan don't always agree on everything. They have had some big arguments, like when kids fight over a toy. They have even had some wars, which are very sad times. But they also try to be friends sometimes, like when they have meetings to talk things out. They share some languages and traditions, which is pretty cool!

What Do They Do?

People in India and Pakistan work hard at many different jobs. Some grow food, some build things, and some teach others. They also trade with each other, which means they swap things they make. But they don't trade as much as you might think, even though they are so close! It's like having a friend next door but not sharing your snacks very often.
