Inês de Castro: A Love Story and a Royal Mystery!

Inês de Castro was a very special lady who lived a long, long time ago, back in the year 1325! She was from a place called Galicia, which is like a neighbor to Portugal. Inês was known for being very beautiful and kind.

She became a close friend to Prince Pedro of Portugal, who was like a prince-in-training. They fell in love, but it was a love that had to be kept a secret because his dad, the king, didn't want them to be together.

Prince Pedro and Inês loved each other very much, and they had children together. But Pedro's father, King Afonso IV, was worried about Inês's family having too much power in Portugal.
