Homo cepranensis

Long, long ago, even before dinosaurs, there were humans! One kind was called Homo cepranensis. We don't know much about them because we only found one tiny piece of their skull. It's like finding just one LEGO brick and trying to guess what the whole toy looked like! This person lived in a place called Italy, a country shaped like a boot.

Homo cepranensis might have lived in caves, like a cozy den. Imagine a cave as big as your classroom, but much darker and older! They probably ate yummy things they could find, like plants and maybe small animals. We call them 'Homo cepranensis' because the first clue about them was found near a town called Ceprano in Italy.

Even though we only have one small bone, Homo cepranensis is super important! It helps scientists understand how humans changed over a very, very long time. It's like looking at old family photos to see how your grandparents looked when they were young. They are a piece of the giant puzzle of human history!

This ancient human is a bit like a detective story. Scientists found a piece of a skull, and it was different from other human bones they had found.
