Where is Holguín?

Holguín Province is like a big piece of a puzzle in the southeastern part of Cuba, an island country. It's so big that it's the third most crowded province in all of Cuba, with over a million people calling it home! That's more people than live in many big cities combined. It's a sunny place with lots of trees.

A Forest Playground!

Guess what? A whole quarter of Holguín Province is covered in amazing forests! That means if you were to fly over it, you'd see a giant green carpet stretching out below. The whole province is over 9,300 square kilometers, which is like having more than 1,000 soccer fields all put together!

Big City, Big Fun!

The main city, also called Holguín, is like the super-duper center of this province. It's where lots of people live and work. Other towns like Banes and Mayarí are also important places where people have their homes and families. It's a busy and lively place!

Talking and Working

In Holguín, most people speak Spanish, just like in many other parts of Cuba. People here do all sorts of jobs to make their province a great place. They work in forests, in towns, and help make sure everyone has what they need. It's a place with a lot of hardworking people.
