Henri Bergson

Henri Bergson was a super smart person who lived a long time ago, from 1859 to 1941. He was a philosopher, which means he loved to think deeply about big questions like 'What is real?' and 'How do we know things?'. He was born in a city called Paris, in the country of France.

People loved his ideas so much that he even won a special prize, like a gold medal for thinking, called the Nobel Prize in Literature!

Henri believed that just using logic and science wasn't enough to truly understand life. He thought our feelings, our instincts, and our immediate experiences were just as important, if not more! Imagine trying to understand what it feels like to ride a bike by only reading about it.

Henri would say you need to actually feel the wind and the bumps to really get it. He thought these 'inner feelings' were like secret keys to understanding the world around us.

Henri Bergson's ideas were so exciting and helpful that he was given the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1927. This is a HUGE honor! It's like winning the biggest award for writing and sharing amazing thoughts.
