Gorzów Wielkopolski

Gorzów Wielkopolski is a city in a country called Poland, way over in Europe. It sits right next to a big, winding river called the Warta River. Think of it like your favorite park, but much, much bigger! Around the city, there are huge forests, like giant green blankets. It's a place where nature meets a busy town.

This city is super old, with stories going back to when knights and castles were around, over 700 years ago! It used to have a different name when people who spoke German lived there, called Landsberg an der Warthe. Over time, it became Gorzów Wielkopolski, and lots of people have lived here and made it their home. It's seen so many changes!

Gorzów Wielkopolski is a place where people work, go to school, and have fun. It's a busy city with lots of people, almost as many as live in a very large school! People here love sports, especially a super-fast race called speedway racing. Imagine bikes going around a track super fast – that’s a big deal here!

Gorzów Wielkopolski is surrounded by amazing nature. To the north, there are big woods called Gorzów Woods, and to the southeast, there are more woods called Noteć Woods. These forests are like giant playgrounds for animals and plants. There are even big underground treasures near Gorzów – the biggest oil fields in all of Poland are hidden beneath the ground!
