Frogs: Hopping into Fun!

Frogs are super cool amphibians that love to hop and swim! They have smooth, moist skin that helps them breathe, and long, strong legs for jumping. You can find frogs almost everywhere in the world, from wet forests to ponds in your backyard. They start life as tiny eggs in water and then hatch into tadpoles, which look like little fish with tails before they grow legs and become frogs!

Frogs are water lovers! They live in all sorts of wet places like ponds, lakes, rivers, and even swamps. Some frogs like to live in trees in rainforests, while others prefer to burrow underground in drier areas. They need to keep their skin moist, so they are usually found near water or in damp places. You can find them on almost every continent, except for very cold places like Antarctica.

Frogs are hungry hunters! They are carnivores, which means they only eat other animals. Their favorite snacks are insects like flies, mosquitoes, and beetles. They use their long, sticky tongues to catch their food super fast! Some bigger frogs might even eat smaller frogs or even mice. They have amazing eyesight to spot their next meal from far away.

Did you know frogs have superpowers? Their super-long legs let them jump really far, sometimes as far as a school bus is long! Their sticky tongues shoot out like a lightning bolt to catch bugs. Some frogs can even change their color to hide from predators, like a built-in camouflage suit. And guess what? They can breathe through their skin too!
