Where the Big Decisions Happen!

The Federal Assembly is like Russia's super-important meeting room! It's located in Moscow, a huge and busy city. Think of it as the brain of the country, where people gather to talk about what's best for everyone. It's a place where laws are made, kind of like the rules you have in your classroom, but for the whole country!

Two Houses, One Big Job!

This meeting place has two parts, like a house with two floors! The top floor is called the Federation Council, and the bottom floor is the State Duma. They work together to make sure Russia runs smoothly. It's like having two teams working on a big project, each with their own special tasks to help get the job done.

Who's in Charge?

The people in the Federal Assembly have very important jobs. The leaders here are third in line after the President and Prime Minister! If something big happened and the top leaders couldn't do their jobs, the leader of the Federation Council would step in. It's like having a backup captain for a team, just in case!

Making Rules for Everyone!

These lawmakers decide on lots of things. They can approve changes to borders, decide if soldiers can go to other countries, and even choose when to have elections for the President. They also appoint judges and other important officials. It's a lot of responsibility, making sure everything is fair and safe for all the people in Russia.
