Meet the Empress of Iran!

Farah Pahlavi was once the Empress, like a queen, of Iran! She was born a long time ago, in 1938. Her family was well-off, but sadly, her father passed away when she was young. She loved learning and studied in a faraway city called Paris. There, she met the leader of Iran, who was called the Shah. They fell in love and got married in 1959. She became his wife and the Empress!

A Happy Royal Family!

The Shah had been married before, but he really needed a son to become the next leader. When Farah had a baby boy named Reza, everyone was so happy! He was the Crown Prince.

Farah was a very kind Empress. She started many charities to help people in Iran. She also helped build Iran's first university that was like American universities, and more girls got to go to school there.

She even helped bring back old treasures from museums!

Leaving Home for Safety

Sometimes, things get tough in a country. In Iran, many people were unhappy, and there was a big change happening. It became unsafe for Farah and the Shah.

So, in 1979, they had to leave their home country. It was a sad time. Many countries didn't want to let them stay because it was dangerous for them.

They traveled to different places, and Farah's husband, the Shah, became very sick and passed away in 1980 while they were away from Iran.

Still Helping Today!

Even though Farah Pahlavi doesn't live in Iran anymore, she still does wonderful things. She continues her charity work, helping people who need it. She spends her time in different countries, like America and France.

She is remembered as a queen who cared a lot about her country and its people, especially about education and helping others. She showed that even when things are hard, you can keep doing good deeds.
