Your Amazing Eyes!

Imagine having two little globes, about the size of a ping pong ball, right in your head! These are your eyes, and they are super important. They help you see everything around you, from your favorite toys to the big blue sky.

Your eyes are like amazing cameras that capture pictures of the world and send them to your brain so you know what's happening. They help you play games, read books, and even spot a yummy cookie from across the room!

Your eyes have a special job: to catch light! When light bounces off things, it goes into your eyes. Inside, there's a clear window called the cornea that bends the light.

Then, a little door called the pupil lets the light pass through. Behind the pupil is a lens, like a tiny magnifying glass, that focuses the light onto the back of your eye. This back part is called the retina, and it's covered in tiny cells that are like little light detectors.
