Imagine your toys needing batteries to work. Energy development is like finding and making those batteries for our whole world! It’s all about getting power from nature to do amazing things like turn on lights, cook food, and even make cars go. We get energy from different places, like the sun, wind, and even from deep underground. It’s a big job that helps everyone every single day.

Long, long ago, people used fire for warmth and cooking. Then, they discovered how to use water and wind to power machines, like windmills and water wheels. Later, they found out that digging up special rocks and liquids from the Earth, called fossil fuels, could give even more power.

Now, we’re learning to use the sun and wind again in super-powered ways, like giant windmills and shiny solar panels!

Energy is super important because it lets us do so many things! It helps us see at night with lights, talk to friends far away on phones, and travel in cars and planes.
