The Double Diamond: A Super Design Adventure!

Imagine you have a big problem, like how to make your toys more fun! The Double Diamond is like a special map for designers. It has two diamond shapes. The first diamond helps you think of LOTS of ideas, like a big, exciting brainstorm! The second diamond helps you choose the very best idea to make your toy amazing. It’s like finding a treasure!

A long time ago, smart people who loved designing things wanted a better way to solve problems. They looked at how we think. Sometimes we think super wide, like looking at everything on a playground. Other times, we focus super close, like picking just one swing to play on. They put these ideas together to make the Double Diamond map in 2005. It helps designers be super creative and smart!

This map helps make sure we don't just guess what people need. Instead, designers talk to people, like asking your friends what they like about a game. Then, they think of tons of ways to make things better.

This means the things we get, like new toys or cool apps, are usually really good because lots of people helped make them perfect. It’s like building the best fort ever with all your friends’ ideas!

Next, you 'Develop' lots of cool solutions, like a super-fast race car toy or a magical storytelling app. Finally, you 'Deliver' by testing your best ideas to make sure they work perfectly.
