Meet the School for Wise Leaders!

Crozer Theological Seminary was a special school that opened a long, long time ago, in 1868! It was like a college for people who wanted to become wise teachers and leaders. It was named after a rich man named John Price Crozer, who helped make the school happen. This school was in a place called Upland, Pennsylvania. It was a place where people learned important lessons and how to help others.

A Super Famous Student!

Guess who went to this school? A very famous person named Martin Luther King Jr.! He was a student there from 1948 to 1951. He was so good that his classmates even chose him to be their president! He learned a lot and got a special degree, like a certificate that says he finished his studies. This school helped him become the amazing leader he was.

What Happened to the Old School?

After many years, the school changed. In 1970, it joined with another school to become a new, bigger school in a different city. The old building where students learned is still there, though! It's a big, three-story building that looks like the letter 'F'. It even has fancy roofs called cupolas on top. Now, the land around it is a beautiful park called the Crozer Arboretum.

A Building Worth Remembering!
