Christine de Pizan

Long, long ago, around the year 1364, a brilliant writer named Christine de Pizan was born in Italy. But she grew up to be a famous writer in France! She was like a superhero of words, writing amazing stories, poems, and advice books. She even wrote for kings and dukes! Her job was to use her clever mind and beautiful writing to share ideas and stories with important people.

Christine wrote many books, but two of her most famous ones were called 'The Book of the City of Ladies' and 'The Treasure of the City of Ladies.' These books were full of wisdom and advice, like a treasure chest of good ideas. She wrote about how people should be treated and how to be a good person. These books were so popular that people kept reading them for hundreds of years, even after she was gone!

Christine was special because she was one of the very first women to make a living just by writing! In her time, it was rare for women to be writers, especially for royalty.
