Where is Spain?

Spain is a country shaped like a big triangle at the bottom of Europe, with the big blue ocean all around it! It has sunny beaches and tall mountains. The weather is warm and sunny most of the time, perfect for playing outside. Spain is like a giant playground with lots of different places to explore, from sandy shores to rocky hills.

A Royal Wedding!

A long, long time ago, a princess named Isabella and a prince named Ferdinand decided to get married. Isabella was 18, and Ferdinand was 17. Their wedding was super important because it helped join their two kingdoms, Castile and Aragon, together. It was like two friends deciding to share their toys and play together to make one big, awesome game!

The King and Queen's Big Job

Isabella and Ferdinand were called the 'Catholic Monarchs' because they were very strong believers in their religion. They wanted to make sure everyone in their lands followed the same rules. They were also super explorers! Their reign helped Spain become a big and powerful country, and they even got a special title from the Pope for being such good defenders of their faith.

Making Spain One Big Family

Before Isabella and Ferdinand, Spain was like a puzzle with different pieces. Their marriage was the key to putting those pieces together. They worked hard to make their kingdoms united, like a team working together. This made Spain stronger and helped it grow into the country we know today. They were like the super glue that held Spain together!
