Buñol

Buñol is a super cool town in Spain, a country far across the ocean. It's not a huge city, but it's home to about 9,000 people. That's like a big school filled with friends! The town is nestled between rolling hills and has a river flowing right through it. It's a place where people live, work, and have amazing celebrations.

Buñol is most famous for a wild party called La Tomatina. Every year, over 40,000 people, which is more than five times the town's usual number of people, come to throw squishy tomatoes at each other! They toss more than 115,000 kilograms of tomatoes. That's heavier than a hundred school buses! It's a giant, messy, tomato-throwing festival that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Besides being a tomato-throwing paradise, Buñol is also a place where yummy things grow. Farmers plant trees that give us carob, almonds, and fruits. They also grow olives for oil and grapes for juice and other things. So, while they might be throwing tomatoes, they're also growing lots of other tasty treats!

If you wanted to visit Buñol, you could take a train from the big city of Valencia, which is not too far away. The town is surrounded by pretty mountains, perfect for exploring. And guess what? A famous soccer team, Levante UD, has its training grounds nearby. So, you might see future soccer stars practicing their kicks!
